Shifts Available are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10am-5pm

Prep Cook Responsibilities:

• Perform routine kitchen tasks.
• Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
• Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, and other meal prep.
• Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
• Lift/ carry/ push/ pull containers, food items, boxes, bags, etc. up to 40lbs
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash.
• Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

Prep Cook Qualifications / Skills:

• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Organizational skills
• Patience
• Manual dexterity
• Communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Very good physical condition and endurance
• Ability to work, standing, for up to 8 hours
• Follow FDA Food Code policies  
• Follow CDC COVID-19 policy and recommendations

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable

Delivery Driver 

(Sunday Only) 1 day (Up To $25.00/per hour)

Chip and Kale delivers to most of Allegheny County and deliveries are assigned by area.

Delivery Driver Responsibilities: 

• Meet at Chip and Kale storefront located at 2102 Broadway Ave. Pittsburgh, PA 15216 each Sunday prepared to deliver.
• Professional personal presentation and clean vehicle
• Delivery maps/ reviewed with Chip And Kale management 
• Maintain a non-contact delivery
• Pickup from deliveries any returned Chip and Kale totes
• Return to Chip and Kale with insulated carriers, totes, and ice blankets. 
• Ability to lift/carry totes up to 20lbs up/down stairs/ into high-rise lobbies

Delivery Drivers Qualifications/ Skills:

• Safe, Inspected, insured, and clean vehicle 
• Valid Driver’s License 
• Smart Phone/ google maps/ IOS maps
